Strong, Blak Matriarchy

The piece is based on Deb’s late Mum, Gwenda Nash (nee Anu), who always rocked a solid afro with Pride. She was unapologetically Blak and stood strong and proud, making people who didn’t want to - move out of her way. ‘Strong, Blak Matriarchy’ represents all of those strong First Nations’ Mamas out there, who showed their daughter’s how to stand their ground and make people move out of their way. 

Measuring 297mm x 420mm and printed using pigment ink on high resolution, cotton art quality paper, this art piece is an absolute standout. This artwork is presented under white mount board and sealed in plastic packaging. All pieces come with artist statement and Supply Nation certification.
